The eternal dream of man to remain beautiful and young forever has always been a motivating factor towards innovation and experimentation. This dream has been responsible for the increasing popularity of cosmetic surgery, leading to the sudden influx in the use of botox. Looking young is considered a fashion statement, especially in America, London and across the glamour world. Supposed to reduce the fine lines of age on your face, botox injections are fast acquiring a craze across the world. Such is its craze that people are ready to dish out any amount of money for this drug.

A single vial of botox can cost anything within $200 to $1000; the cost often depending on the whims of the doctor. According to BBC World Business Report, botox sales in the US alone were more than $300 in spite of the fact that it was not promoted as a cosmetic drug directly to the doctors and the consumers. This clearly testifies to the growing consciousness about botox among the people and the miraculous effects that it carries in its fold. In fact, popular demand can be cited as one of the major factors that have compelled the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to rethink its decision to ban botulinum toxin.

Questions might arise on the reasons behind the ever increasing demand for botox. The obvious answer lies in the desire of people to defy their age. It’s not just that people engaged in the glamour industry take recourse to botox treatment. People who can afford this form of treatment are ready to undergo the entire ordeal of receiving botox injections, the count generally centering around 14 in number. They are not even deterred by the idea that they would have to bear similar intensity of pain periodically as the botox effect lasts for a few months and needs to be re-injected. A number of renowned personalities and celebrities of Hollywood have taken botox injections and with good effects. People are now aware about the secret behind the ageless beauty of Cindy Crawford or any other model above the age of 40. Periodical injections of botox, vitamins and collagen cast a magical spell on your skin making it tighter and smoother, at the same time restoring its elasticity.

Not just America, recent trends suggest that the men of London, especially the executive class in their 30’s, are availing botox treatment on a large scale. The stress of their busy lives, along with increasing competition takes a toll on their overall appearance and personality. This leads them to look for a quick solution to their ageing problem that they now find in botox. London has become a cosmetic surgery hub in recent years with the emergence of a number of cosmetic surgery clinics providing anti-aging solution through botox injections. No wonder more and more people are flocking to rediscover their youth through botox London.

Your Survival Guide To The Jungle Of Botox Treatments: Everything You Need To Know About Botox Inj

Barry Lycka recently asked:

What is Botox?

It derives from the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. In nature, large quantities of this exist. In these large doses, it can be harmful and it is this toxin that causes botulism. However, when small dilute quantities are used, as is done in therapeutic treatments, it is extremely safe and can be used under the skin to act as a muscle relaxant.

How does it work?

Botox is used to treat frown lines and creases by injecting small amounts into the ****** muscles. Normally, nerve cells release chemicals which cause the muscles to tighten, leading to frown lines. Botox blocks these chemical signals causing a slight weakening of the muscle contraction and a smoothing of the skin’s appearance. Contrary to popular belief, skillfully applied Botox does not paralyze the ****** muscles completely, it just relaxes and reduces their response.

This is what I take prides himself in doing when using Botox in my practice in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I like Botox light. We like to normalize ****** expressions, not wipe them out. Not everyone wants to look like Madonna.

What can Botox do for me?

Botox treatment can reduce the appearance of frown lines, forehead wrinkles and crows feet around the eyes. It can also be used to treat creases around the mouth. When performed properly it should have a gentle relaxing effect while still allowing natural expressions like smiling and frowning. Botox treatment will not reduce lines caused by sun damage and may not be fully effective on very deep creases.

Is it safe?

A course of Botox injections is a well established and recognized treatment that is considered to be safe when carried out by a qualified practitioner. There are, however, some groups of people who should not use Botox. These include pregnant and breastfeeding women and anyone suffering from a disease that affects the nerves or muscles. Certain medicines can react with Botox and you should consult your doctor if you are taking antibiotics or drugs to control heartbeat irregularities, Alzheimer’s disease or myasthenia gravis (a chronic autoimmune disorder).

If you are known to be allergic to any of the ingredients in Botox or if the area to be treated is infected, you should not have the treatment. However, even in experienced hands, every medication, including Botox, has side effects. The most common side effects are weakening of some muscles unwontedly. For example, some people get an eyelid droop when Botox is put into the brow. Fortunately, Botox side effects are rare and reversible.

What happens during Botox treatment?

First the surgeon will discuss your medical history and assess which areas of your face to treat. During the treatment, a series of small injections will then be directed straight into the ****** muscles that the doctor wants to relax using an extremely tiny needle.

You will not need an anesthetic as the injections cause very little pain. The whole procedure should be completed within a matter of minutes. Rarely, these Botox injections can cause the side effect of bruising.

How quickly will I recover?

As soon as the procedure is completed, you will be able to return to normal activities. Some patients report a slight headache as a side effect of the Botox treatment but this should soon pass. Sometimes you will be advised not to lie down for 3 or 4 hours after the procedure as this can encourage the Botox to spread to other areas of the face.

You should not rub the treated area for the same reason. You should also make use your muscles as much as possible so the Botox will be absorbed. Botox usually takes 3 to 7 days to take full effect, after which time visible improvement in ****** lines should be noticeable. Your normal ****** expressions should still be present.

The beneficial effects of Botox usually last for 3 to 6 months.

Are there any Botox side effects?

Side effects of Botox treatment are usually mild. Some patients experience a slight headache for the first 24 hours after injections to the forehead area, especially after their first treatment. Mild bruising of the injected area can also occur.

In very rare cases, excess Botox can cause the side effect of droopy eyelids, a condition known as ptosis. This is unlikely to occur when the treatment is carried out by an experienced cosmetic surgeon and will gradually correct itself as the Botox wears off. If you do experience drooping eyelids, you should tell your consultant.

Although very unlikely, a small percentage of patients may suffer the side effect of an extreme adverse reaction to Botox. You should seek medical help immediately if you experience difficulty in swallowing and breathing or develop a rash.

Your best defense against the side effects of Botox is to find a skilled doctor to administer it.

What are the advantages of using Botox?

Since its initial introduction, Botox treatment has quickly gained in popularity and is consistently one of the most requested cosmetic procedures. It is a relatively safe treatment for most people with few documented reports of serious complications.

The treatment is very simple and quick and almost painless. Because no general anesthetic is required, recovery time is rapid with little or no side effects. The results of the procedure are fully reversible over time as the muscle weakening effect of the Botox eventually wears off.

Cost of Botox

Botox costs depend on numerous factors. Individual Botox treatment cost a reasonable amount varing from $400 to over a thousand dollars based on how many areas are treated.m The results last for 3 or 4 months, and do not have to be repeated too often. Some patients find that after several sessions, the time between treatments can be increased to about 6 months.

Where should I go to get Botox treatment?

Once you have decided to have Botox treatment it is important to choose the right cosmetic surgeon to perform the procedure. Botox has a proven track record for safety and good results but only when carried out by a reputable practitioner. Choose a fully qualified surgeon who has already carried out many Botox procedures.

Look for a clinic where the surgeon is willing to carry out an initial consultation so that you have the chance to ask any questions and thoroughly discuss the implications of the treatment.

A good cosmetic surgeon should always be happy to give you lots of information and may be able to show you photographs of past clients and the results of their treatment. It’s also a good idea to ask around your friends for personal recommendations.

What else is Botox used for?

Although Botox injections are most well known as a cosmetic procedure for the reduction of ****** wrinkles, it is also used in the treatment of several medical conditions. Botox can be used to reduce muscle spasms and twitching of the neck or eyelids.

It has also proved successful in the treatment of excessively sweaty armpits by blocking the chemical transmitters that cause the sweating. Depending on the reasons for treatment, sometimes the cost of Botox injections can be covered by medical insurance.

Botox Creams Recently, a cream has been advertised as better than Botox. Unfortunately this Botox cream does not really work. It contains a weak muscle relaxant, strivectant, and this Botox cream does not do much.

Botox Alternatives

If Botox cosmetics do not work, are there alternatives to Botx? Recenlty several Botox alternatives have been studied. One alternative to Botox is Reloxin. It is similar to it, in that it blocks the chemicals released from the nerves. Some say this alternative might work better than Botox.

How to Find a Skilled Doctor For Your Botox Treatments

The best doctor for your Botox treatments for your wrinkles would be an ethical doctor who specializes in these treatments. Ideally, he or she is a teacher of other Botox providers. You can find a qualified person for your Botox treatments through the Ethical Cosmetic Surgery Association www.ecsaonline.com.

le want to look good, attractive and young even if they are of old age. To meet the demands of such people there are number of methods which can be used to restrict the growth of wrinkle and maintain the youthful look forever.

Botox injections are one of the numbers of alternatives which are used for the treatment of flattening the wrinkle. People are normally afraid of any kind of injection. But botox injections are just like a bite from a red ant or any other little insect.

Convincing the clients about the pain and usefulness of the injections on skin can be the done by the doctors only. The doctor can help their clients to fight against the wrinkles by using minute dose of botox. Botox injections however causes some type of itchiness or skin irritation, but the doctors can help the patients to reduce such irritation by suggesting some creams or gels.

People fear about using botox, but there are no problems related to the use of botox. There are many people who already used such treatment and have obtained satisfied result. Therefore those people who have already taken such botox injections can really help the people who have questions regarding the treatment and solve their each and every problem related to such kind of treatment.

There are number of botox treatments which are performed but there is not a single case where people have suffered intense pain. This treatment is not subjected to any pain expect a small pinch.

Many people get tense by just seeing the needle of the injection. But people should not worry about the treatment as it is going to make you look younger.

Best Anti Wrinkle Cream - 3 Reasons Why Botox is No Good

Saturday, September 19th, 2009
Sean Saunders recently asked:

Are you considering jumping on the botox bandwagon? Well, before you take the leap, you should take some time to read about the stuff that botox pushers don’t want you to know. These things will not only convince you that botox is a bad decision, but they’ll also show you why using the best anti wrinkle cream is truly the most reliable option when it comes to looking younger.

3 Reasons You Should Use The Best Anti Wrinkle Cream and NOT Botox…

Reason 1: Arm & a Leg Expensive VS Budget Friendly

Botox might not be “expensive” for some people, but to anyone who is on a budget, it most definitely is! If you’re not a doctor, banker, actor, professional athlete, etc. it’s safe to say that getting regular botox injections is a bit out of your price range. Why? Because botox costs about $800-$1000 PER injection. Combine that bad news with the unfortunate fact that you need at least 2-3 botox injections per year, and you’re looking at quite a large bill.

The best anti wrinkle cream is extremely budget friendly, even if that cream costs a whopping $100 per bottle. Most anti wrinkle creams last for a couple of months and can be purchased for around $30-$170 dollars. Do the math on that and you’ll only be paying $500-$700 per year for wrinkle cream, if even that. So, you can pay $700 total throughout the year for wrinkle cream OR you can pay $700 2-3 times during the year for botox. As far as saving money goes, it’s obvious who the winner is here.

Reason 2: Poisonous VS Natural & Safe

Were you aware of the fact that botox users are being injected with a highly poisonous substance known as botulinum? No? Well to be honest, that really isn’t all that surprising, as most botox users don’t know they are being injected with botulinum; a bacterial neurotoxin that can cause harm (or even death) to those whom are exposed to large amounts. Although considered safe in small amounts and when administered under supervision, the long term effects of this substance on our system are still relatively unknown.

The best anti wrinkle cream contains no poisons, no harmful additives, as well as not a trace of botulinum. Simply put, the best wrinkle creams will contain natural ingredients (a few will have man-made ones) proven to reduce wrinkles, finelines, and the other signs of aging. The ingredients in a jar of anti wrinkle cream will no more harm you than a bowl of mashed up bananas.

Reason 3: Ineffective VS Effective

Of all the aspects of ****** rejuvenation, botox addresses one and ONLY one; motion wrinkles. Botox will plump up all the wrinkles on your face — the ones caused by ****** movements — but that is ALL it will do. Botox won’t help repair/remove finelines, overly dry skin, age spots, skin discoloration, crows feet, scars, sun damage, or anything else. In addition to that, regular botox injections may actually cause the skin (adjacent to the injection site) to become MORE wrinkled with time. Seriously, what intelligent person would want to opt for an anti aging treatment that can cause MORE wrinkles to appear?

The best anti wrinkle cream will address every aspect of ****** rejuvenation. This means it will help to remove and/or repair crows feet, fine lines, scars, sun damage, age spots, pigment discoloration, and every other symptom of aging that is plaguing you. Also, regular use of the best anti wrinkle cream will NOT cause more wrinkles to accumulate on your skin — if anything, it will PREVENT wrinkles from appearing in the future!

As anyone with half a brain can clearly see, botox is in NO WAY a reliable, cost-effective anti aging treatment. That being said, stick with the best anti wrinkle cream; you’ll be glad you did!

Botoxed - You, But Younger

Thursday, September 17th, 2009
A. Farhan Haq recently asked:

Some might say Botox® injections are for the elite and exclusive. However, with more than 2.5 million treatments per year in the US, Botox injections are hardly exclusive. Despite recent economic slow down which has affected the sales of all luxury items including designer handbags and fine jewellery Botox® treatments continue to soar. So what is this treatment and how does it work?

Botox® is the trade name for a drug called botulinum toxin, a natural by product of the bacteria clostridia botulinum which is a nerve blocker. It has been used for over twenty years in medicine for muscular twitches and spasms. It is this effect which boasts its’ cosmetic value as long term muscle contractions is primarily the cause of the lines and wrinkles on the upper face.

To create ****** expressions we contract the muscles in our face. When you smile the muscles around your eyes contract to create wrinkles on their sides resembling the feet of a crow. Hence, permanent lines around your eyes are commonly known as “crow’s feet”. Looking up forms the horizontal lines on the forehead and frowning / getting angry creates the deep vertical lines in between the eyebrows (also known as anger / frown lines). With age the skin looses its structural qualities and with repetitive muscle contractions over years the lines and wrinkles slowly engrave in the skin. The lines get deeper and alter their pigmentation making the lines and wrinkles more prominent and permanent. Paralysing the respected muscles by local injection of Botox® stops the lines and wrinkle forming thereby relaxing the skin overlying. The relaxed skin not only looks more youthful but any damage done over the previous years will reverse with time. Permanent lines will start to disappear and the treatment will knock off years of your age.

Effects can last up to 6 months by when new nerves start regenerating into the muscles to produce contractions again gradually restoring your original appearance. Then its time for another shot of injections and the cycle continues. Despite the cost per average treatment – of up to 40,000 rupees the results achieved are second to none. Sometimes knocking a good 10/15 years of your age these injections have become known as simple, quick, and safe amongst the medical community. Common minor side effects include bruises (lasting up to a week), irritation and headaches, droopy eyebrow, a weeping eye or problems with ****** expressions most of which can be avoided by well trained and experienced cosmetic doctors. Serious side effect such as an anaphylactic shock is extremely rare.

With so much money at stake, will doctors really put the best interests of their patients first? If patients look better and if by implication have improved self-esteem, with minimal chances of complications and they there should be no ethical problem in treating those patients.

Botox® can also be used to improve chronic headaches, migraines, backaches and many more conditions associated with muscle contraction by relaxing the muscles that tense up in the respective regions. It is widely used in the oriental countries for patients with prominent jaw angles. Also, the same types of nerves that Botox® blocks also innervate the sweat glands. Hence, local Botox® injections are used to reduce sweating in patients with excessive sweating disorders most commonly on the face, palms, underarms and feet.

Botox Cream to Bury Your Wrinkles

Dexter James recently asked:

Botox cream can do wonders to any middle aged person removing the wrinkles, especially if the person is too scared of coming under the knife in the name of plastic surgery, or is equally apprehensive about the much talked-about botox injections.

But fortunately, the judicious and guided application of botox cream has been proved medically safe unlike the botox injections which can paralyze the face muscles. Even, the surgical intervention has proved fatal, damaging the vital tissues on the face.

Botox cream, by many it has been considered, as the most successful anti aging cream. The medicinal component “Acetyl Hexapeptide-3” found in this cream works magically, though slowly, in removing the wrinkles. Thus it has been proved safer than any other option of anti aging creams.

This face care product has got a status of panachea and comes up with treating some other face related problems too. It is capable of removing dark circles beneath the eyes and provides enough moisture to retrieve the lost glaze of the ****** skin.

The best benefit, as I do believe, of using botox cream is that it burns very few holes in your pockets. Because, its usage determines the dumping of other face care products to the dustbin. Definitely, the botox cream is a reliable alternative to many other skin friendly creams.

However, its miraculous power to remove wrinkles can’t be experienced overnight. The embarrassing lines on the face will get to disappear slowly and completely providing a total relief from the stress of getting older, litterally.

You Don’T Have To Resort To Botox Injections Or The Knife To Get A Wrinkle Correction

Friday, July 17th, 2009
Michael J. Phillips recently asked:

Let’s face it, when you hear wrinkle correction you immediately think of botox and collagen injections or going under the knife with a ****** procedure.

Now, don’t get me wrong… these procedures work, some are better and more permanent than others. However, there are some negative issues with them like cost, inconvenience, partial paralysis of ****** muscle tissue, and being only a temporary fix that requires ongoing treatment every six months or so.

If you don’t want to go down this path for whatever reason, yet still want to benefit from a wrinkle correction, think about using one of the new types of natural skin creams that recently entered the market.

Advances in skin cream nano technology have enabled a small company in New Zealand to develop a new ingredient that can help reduce wrinkles. It’s called Cynergy TK”(TM)”. I imagine you haven’t even heard of it yet. They have found a way to convert natural keratin into a bioactive solublized form, that is readily available to your body called functional keratin”(TM)”.

Keratin, collagen and elastin are vital proteins in your skin; your skin sheds dead keratin cells every day. But, on the other hand your body also produces more new protein skin cells every day. Unfortunately, the problem is a person who has turned 40 years old produces about 40% less new skin protein cells than they did at age 20.

This reduction in proteins causes your skin to sag, wrinkle and lose its elasticity. An improvement to your wrinkles is possible by increasing the levels of collagen and elastin in your dermis. This gives your skin more strength and structure and increases it’s elasticity and spring back.

You can benefit by reducing your ****** wrinkles using a new technology face cream, but you must keep in mind it’s not an instant solution like botox or surgery. It takes time and consistency then the results will come. Don’t be fooled into believing the thousands of media ads claiming huge wrinkle reductions in days or weeks using their wonder creams. It just doesn’t happen! Anyway most of the young models they use, wouldn’t know what a decent wrinkle is because they have never had one.

If your interested to learn more visit my website. Where I go into more detail on what you can achieve in wrinkle correction, by applying a new anti aging skin care cream daily that can contribute to you having younger, smoother looking skin.
