Botox Cosmetic Injections for ****** Wrinkles

BOTOX cosmetic injections are a true blessing for those who wouldn’t like to go the surgery way to diminish their ****** wrinkles. BOTOX injection treatment aims at rendering inactive those muscles which produce wrinkles. Though only a temporary treatment, BOTOX injections offer the advantage of no downtime; daily activities can be resumed immediately after the procedure.

About BOTOX

BOTOX is the botulinum toxin type A in a much purified form. It is the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum that turns out this toxin.

BOTOX Treatment – The Procedure

With the help of a small, thin needle; the doctor injects minute doses of BOTOX into particular muscles. Individual treatment is done on the underlying hyperdynamic muscles. Care is taken to paralyze and weaken only those muscles which are the causative factors for wrinkles, furrowing and lining. The ultimate result is younger and less tired skin.

Factors like the ****** features, the specific region being treated and the degree of wrinkling would determine the quantity of injections required for a particular patient.

Areas Effectively Treated

Areas which the BOTOX treatment can prove effective for include:

•    Crow’s feet

•    Glabellar furrow

•    Neck bands situated on the underside of the chin

•    Forehead lines

•    Wrinkles surrounding the upper lip

Short Term but No Severe Side Effects

The results of the injections are usually noticeable within a week’s time and would remain for 3 to 6 months after which repeat injections would be required. Complications and side effects like minor bruising, redness, nausea and headache are a possibility after BOTOX treatment. Severe side effects however, are rare. To minimize the incidence of side effects, it is of utmost importance that the patient gets the treatment done only by a professional doctor.

Though the FDA has only approved BOTOX cosmetic injections for improving ****** wrinkles, this treatment promises great results in patients having migraine headaches, and too much armpit or hand sweating.

Safe Alternatives to Botox Poison

Those of you looking into botox treatments may wonder if there are safe alternatives to botox treatments. As you age the lines and wrinkles seem to multiply on your face and there’s nothing that will make you look older faster than those wrinkles. With botox being so popular recently it’s no wonder that as soon as we see wrinkles we think of botox as a solution. It’s true that botox can be one safe and effective way to remove wrinkles and lines from our faces, but you should take the time to look into other ways to take care of those wrinkles.

You should know before you get botox injections that it is a toxic substance. Botox is short for ‘botulism poisoning’ which is a type of food poisoning that is capable of causing severe illness and even death. When botulism is detected the person affected needs immediate medical attention and health officials frequently get involved to contain any potential outbreak. Botulism is not something to take lightly.

Botox is made from the same bacteria that causes botulism and it works by paralyzing the muscles that it’s injected into. A small amount of diluted botox is injected directly into the ****** muscles causing them to weaken and thus making the skin over top of them smooth out. Once the skin smoothes, then the wrinkles and lines disappear.

It’s a very extreme solution to a simple problem and you should know that there are other ways that are equally effective and safer than botox. Don’t get me wrong, botox does work wonders, however it still presents risks and the treatment needs to be repeated every 3-6 months making it expensive as well. Some people have developed cardiovascular problems from botox and some even experience a permanent loss of sensation in areas that have been injected with botox frequently. While botox is considered very safe it still poses some risks.

An alternative to these injections is a quality botox cream or anti aging cream. These creams are also pretty expensive, but they pose none of the risks you’ll get with botox. LifeCell and Revitol are two botox creams that are regarded quite highly. Plus you’ll find that the botox creams can remove some wrinkles that are untreatable by botox such as lines from sun damage.

Do your homework about wrinkle removal and you’ll find there are some alternatives to botox injections. Botox creams and anti aging creams can be a safe effective way to get the same results and keep a smooth youthful looking face. Botox injections may be your first thought, but it may not be the best solution.

Botox Cosmetic: Making Your Skin Look Good At Any Age

Tammy Garcia recently asked:

Botox Cosmetic is a non-surgical treatment that can enhance your appearance by selectively relaxing individual muscle groups to smooth and contour your ****** profile. And with over 3 million treatments performed in 2005, its clearly one of the top requested procedures. But how do you know if it’s right for you?

Let’s start with the process. Botox injection is a very simple process that can be accomplished in under 30 minutes, depending on the number of desired treatment areas. A topical anesthetic is used to numb the areas to be treated with Botox. Then small amounts of Botox are injected into the skin with a thin needle. Pain and discomfort is usually minimal, and does not persist after the injection process.

For many people, the promise of a more youthful look is tempting. Botox can help reduce the frown lines between the eyebrows, or reduce the fine lines that begin to form at the corners of your mouth. As long as a person leads a healthy, active life, why not look young and healthy as well?

Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox Cosmetic) is a protein complex produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, which contains the same toxin that causes food poisoning. Yet when this same protein is used in a medical setting, small doses of this chemical will block the release of a chemical called acetylcholine by nerve cells that signal muscle contraction. By specifically targeting ****** muscles and interfering with their ability to react to ****** movement, existing lines are smoothed out and become nearly invisible in about one week.

For people that hold high profile jobs, or for people that desire to maintain a life long youthful look, Botox may truly be the fountain of youth. But keep in mind that along with the benefits can also be hindrances.

If you are considering Botox treatment, be sure to find a qualified doctor to perform the procedure. Because of the rise in popularity of Botox, mass marketing of the drug has caused many complications that could be avoided by selecting a reputable cosmetic surgeon.

The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery has reported a number of unqualified people dispensing Botox in non-medical facilities, such as salons, gyms and other retail venues. Remember, Botox is a prescription drug that should be administered by a qualified physician, and should be performed in an appropriate medical setting. Safety should be your prime concern when selecting a physician.

While Botox is not a lasting procedure, it is one that will give you dramatic results for three to six months. By repeating the procedure two or three times a year, you can have the life long results you’ve been looking for.
